The problem with power

If there's one thing that cheeses me off about technology and all the gadgets which I use, it has to be the amount of wires that go with it all. You need a cable to charge each device; sometimes a separate cable to which you need to synchronise the data on the device to a laptop or desktop computer. Wires are a pain.

There are, of course, wireless charging devices on the market, but they are hardly portable and you still need a cable to plug the wireless charger into the mains.

So, what's the next best thing? Well, it has to be having one cable to charge and synchronise several devices. One of the great and unmentioned benefits of the Blackberry smartphone (It's not as cool as an iPhone but bear with me here) is the fact that you charge it up with a micro-USB cable. That boring old wire also charges my Amazon Kindle and my basic LG mobile phone.

So, before choosing a gadget, check the type of charger it uses and make sure it's compatible with your other gadgets. Otherwise, your digital world will become entangled.
