Is this what technology will soon be like?

I've today seen some interesting things on the web, and this one really caught my eye from Google. Their 'Project Glass' is looking at how technology can be used to help you in every aspect of your life. I like the look of some of it, but the thought of having to rely solely on my smartphone and a heads-up display for navigation is something I would not be too keen on.

However, being able to communicate and share things I saw in the street, at work or in the countryside would be fun.
